Using a shaving brush helps to exfoliate the skin before shaving by buffing off dead skin cells that could hinder you from getting a clean, closer shave. Then, as you shave, the razor glides over your skin and gently exfoliates even more. Aftershave is very important to nourish the skin after you just removed the dead cells and exposed a softer layer of skin. An aftershave splash will cleanse and tighten the skin, or an aftershave balm will moisturize and soothe the skin.
