For the longest time I was turned off from rose scented shaving products. Many of the popular shaving creams had synthetic fragrances that were not enjoyable. When I began using traditional hard shaving soaps more frequently, I discovered that the rose scent of a shaving soap was more to my liking. Geo. F. Trumper’s Rose offering is among the best of the hard soaps I've used.
The rose scent of this shaving soap is soft and pleasing, and not too strong and sweet like some of the shaving creams that I tried in the past. While the rose may not be as pure and natural of a rose scent as others, it is definitely enjoyable and makes for a very nice relaxing shave every time. I have no problem whipping up a nice batch full of lather and it leaves my skin feeling great.
Trumper’s soaps are not cheap by any means, but can be obtained for less if you skip the wooden bowl option. Personally, I love the look of the wooden bowl. The product does have great longevity, though, and you definitely get what you pay for. I highly recommend this one!
